Blimey, another airline has bitten the dust!
Another low-cost long-haul airline has gone bust, and this one feels close to home, as we very nearly booked some cheap tickets to the States with this airline recently!
Zoom announced that:
Zoom Airlines sincerely regrets to advise its customers that it has suspended operations with effect from 19:00 hrs on Thursday 28 August 2008. Both Zoom Airlines Inc and Zoom Airlines Ltd, the Canadian and UK airlines, have started administration proceedings in their home countries.
All Zoom flights have been cancelled and aircraft grounded.
Apparently it was due to rising fuel prices. But to be honest; you have to wonder how any airline could possibly offer ticket prices as low as £99 from London to Canada (I’m no mathematician, but even I know that those numbers don’t crunch for a 4,000 mile trip).

Well one more time the guys with money lost common sense. I read in a Canadian paper the owners two brothers were crazy invested money in a soccer team in Montreal and I don’t remember now how many $ one of them spend in his second wedding of course using the airplanes transporting his guests and other bad business .
